Product design
Case - Zallpy
Summary : I am a product designer for digital products for Zallpy clients in the logistics and aviation monitoring sectors.
Role: Senior Product Designer
Problem and products
Zallpy is a technology company responsible for creating software for various B2B sectors.
I work as a Product Designer focusing on UI, but I also handle everything from understanding the solution with the Product Owner to handing it off to developers with high-fidelity prototypes.
The clients served did not have a design system with a defined methodology that would cover all products.
My work as a designer
- Needed to work quickly to develop the necessary MVPs in Figma and validate them with the Product Owners.
-Created the design systems for desktop and mobile clients, maintaining consistency in brand identity.
- Prioritized componentization based on the WCAG 2 accessibility principles.
- Documented the deliverables using Figma with high-fidelity prototypes.
- Conducted interviews and usability tests with direct users of client applications.
- Performed design reviews of the screens developed in a testing environment.
Results
- Screens with modern layouts that meet accessibility principles.
- Efficiency: the development time for new features was significantly reduced with the design system.
- Improved usability in web and app flows
- Reduced developer bugs with the implementation of design review.
Deliverables
- Design system: creation of a unique design system with reusable components, including buttons, forms, tables, charts, as well as typography, colors, spacing, and icons.
- Detailed documentation: accessible and detailed documentation for developers and designers, facilitating the adoption and maintenance of the design system.
- High-fidelity prototypes that facilitated the development of screens and the writing of user stories.
- UX research reports presenting pain points and usability test results to stakeholders.
Due to confidentiality reasons, I cannot show you the prototypes, but we can discuss the process further.
